SWOT Company Analysis

Throughout college one of my favorite things to do has been to get off campus and allow myself to get some work one in a different environment than that of the library, my apartment, or honestly just campus in general. Waldo's & Co. has been one of my favorite places to go in order to do this. Waldos is a quaint little coffee shop in Gettysburg, as well as an art gallery and studio. It has been one of favorite places throughout college for many reasons.

Some things which Waldo's has accomplished doing very well are having a unique environment. Waldo's is honestly the only one places I have ever been that presents itself as a coffee shop, art studio, gallery, etc. They create a unique environment that creates a welcoming and warm atmosphere. Along with this, on their social media platforms, specifically looking at Instagram, they do a good job at showing the products they sell through their store. Along with this, they consistently share on their social media about upcoming events they are having in the space, such as small concerts, art auctions, etc.

However, some things which they appear to struggle with are consistency on social media, as well as possibly struggling with budget due to difficulty fundraising. First, recently on their instagram page, Waldo's seems to be posting quite a bit less frequently. This consistency is very important and something they could grow in. Along with this, because Waldo's is a nonprofit they have to fundraise all of their income. They do this through allowing people to make donations for purchases of coffee or other drinks, and foods. However, this can be seen as a disadvantage because resources may be a bit limited.

Although these are some struggles of Waldo's, the uniqueness of their company and multifaceted brand allows them to have a lot of great opportunities. There are not many other companies or brands that promotes and creates the environment that Waldo's does. Therefore, their uniqueness allows them to stand out to their audience.

Lastly, I believe one of the main threats to Waldo's would be changing customer attitudes. This can be dangerous due to fluctuation in donations and therefore inconsistency in the companies resources to continue to building their company and brand.

Overall, I really love Waldo's, and it has been one of my absolute favorite places to explore in college.

Just some thoughts!
