Keep It Classy!

Hey, and welcome back to my blog! This being my senior year of college, I have been thinking a lot about graduate school and job applications. During college it is so easy to get caught up in the culture and idea that you finally have all the freedom in the world. And on social media, this is all the more dangerous. Especially in college it is so important to remember that social media is never truly private, and honestly never really goes away. Even so, I still believe being your true and authentic self on social platforms is the most important thing in maintaining a healthy relationship with social media.  

So here are some of my thoughts on remembering to keep your platforms professional but still authentically you. Allow your personality to come out through your captions. Show who you are by posting about what is important to you. However, remember that each and every aspect of your life does not need to be documented through Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat, etc. Share things that allow people to see your characteristics and positive qualities as a person, and not necessarily the wild and crazies with your friends on the weekend. Honestly, the best way to keep a professional looking social media while stilling maintaining your authentic shelf is being conscious that social media is never truly private, everyone has access to the life you portray, and the right to perceive it in any way they please. So, keep it classy!
